The social deception

Are we constantly as happy as we depict ourselves on social media?

Are our days as amazing as we like to tell?

Sometimes, social media is the place where we chase an ideal narrative of ourselves: more interesting, charming and joyful than anyone else.

Friends, trips, events, clothes and food are always at the top and make us feel happy.

Showing ourselves vulnerable, bored and sad would make us unpopular, that’s why we avoid it.

The constant exposure to the sugarcoated tales from our contacts might make us feel small and unsatisfied. Moreover, it pushes us to select only what can make us be perceived as constantly happy.

Do you feel the pressure to the positive and happy narrative of yourselves at all costs?
